On December 8 2023, 52 members and guests met at Cocoa Village Elks Club for dinner and dancing.

December 5 2023

On December 5 2023, 38 of our members and 6 guests met at the Vet Center for an eggnog party. We collected gifts for tots and held a crazy shirt contest in addition to our usual things.

November 18, 2023

On this day some of our members went to Grills Riverside. They could come by car or boat but they had to eat. The eat part worked best.

Keep Brevard Beautiful

A team of CBSPS members, in support of Keep Brevard Beautiful, picked up trash along Sykes Creek Blvd  and the Veterans Memorial Center before Veterans Day. October 3 2023 General Meeting with speaker

On this day we had a general meeting with speaker Zak Marchetti from the Brevard Zoo. He gave us the history of the zoo and talked of the plans for the aquarium at the Port

We also gave (kind of) a sexton to Denis Peterson to return to the Jack Grames family.

September 23 2023 Cruse to Sunset Grills

On this day 29 members and 5 boats crused to Sunset Grill for lunch. The water was calm but the wind made docking a little difficult. Had a good time.

September 5 2023 Italian Night

On this night 44 members and 5 guests got together to share some Italian food. We consumed a lot of food. We also looked at some old photo books and had an auction for some old stuff.

On August 19 John Small lead a group of 5 boats and 10 of our members out onto the spoil island near marker 81-82. Looks like they are having a good time.

August 1, 2023 Meeting

Our August meeting speaker was Wayne Justice from Port Canaveral. He gave us and update on the history of the port and up coming changes. This meeting was attended by our members and many others.

July 22 2023 Car Rally

Rick Wuestenfeld set up a Car Rally on Merritt island and Cocoa Beach. Members and friends traveled around following a code to various restaurants in Merritt Island and Cocoa beach. At the locations they had some snacks and collected cards for the contest. We then met at Gators at the port to see who did the best.

June 24, 2023

On June 24 2023 some boats and a bunch of our members came by car to CAPT Hirams. They had a party in a room and some dinner.

May 20 2023 Boat to Samson Island

On May 20 2023 the squadron had 2 boats and 7 members at Somsons Island. Looks like they had a good time.

May 2 2023 Meeting

On May 2 2023 the squadron went from whales to clams and oysters. Hope Lenoard gave a presentation on the efforts in the lagoon to reestablish the shell populations to help filter out the water in the lagoon.

April 4 2023 Meeting

On April 4 2023 the squadron had a whale of a meeting. First Joel Cohen gave a program on 'The Right Whale Program.' The we started our meeting and passed out some awards and held our regular meeting.

(It was the Right Whale because it had the most fat to make oil for the lamps used in the 18th century.)

Pop Tabs

All the pop tabs that we collect go to a good use. Here is Robin delivering 14.5 lbs of pop tabs to Maria Huff at Imperial Estates Elementary School. They will be used by Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida.

March 17-18 2023 D23 Change of watch

On March 17-18, 2023; D23 held its Change of Watch ceremony at the Holiday Inn at Tittusville. They did a little Irsh on Friday and Saturday held the meeting and the Change of Watch. Our club got a couple of awards and Elmer received Life Member certificate.

March 11, 2023 Meet the Bridge Picnic

On March 11, 2023 we met with 38 of our members for a introduction of the new bridge at a picnic. Some of our members did a little kayaking before the picnic.

On February 11, 2023 the squadron met at the Veterans center for our Change of watch. D/Lt/C Jeff Wise, JN was the District officer for the change. We had lunch and passed out awards for the past year.

February 7, 2023 Meeting:Getting ready for the Change of Watch

On January 7, 2023 we had our normal meeting. But this one is different. Our speaker Gerard Meunier gave out information on possible classes for the coming year. But at the end of the meeting the bridge was dismissed to get ready for the COW.

January 21, 2023 Cruse to Grills

On January 21, 2023 about 30 of our members went to Grills for lunch. Most came by cars but we had two boats. There we so many of us that we had to divide into two tables.

January 3, 2023 Meeting

On January 3, 2023 we held our regular meeting. The speaker was Dan Schaller who talked about sea turtle preservation. (I put a link to their web site on ours, look on the Links page) We had some snack and the nominated officers for next year were announced.

December 2022 Holiday Party

On December 16, 2022 We held our holiday party with 64 members and guests at the Cocoa-Rockledge Garden Club. We had dinner, talked and danced a good time.

November 17, 2022 Squid Lips

On November 17 we had planned to meet at Dragon Point with our boats. But 'Oh the wind blows' so we went to Squid Lips by car. The were 18 of us and we had a filling occasion.

November 12, 2022 Boaters Exchange

On November 12 some of our members set up a booth at the Boaters Exchange boat show. We worked to introduce our safety classes and free boat inspections.

On October 22 about 20 of our members met at the Pineda Inn for lunch. We had a couple of boats (almoust) and the other came by car.

September 16th 2022 Frigates

On September 16th 19 of our members met at Frigates restaurant for a good meal. We had a couple of boats but most came by car due to the weather we have been having.

September 2022 Italian Night

On Spetember 6, 2020 We held out first Italian Night in two years. We had 44 members and a lot of food.

August 2022 KBB

On OAugust 13 members helped out with the cleanup. The group took on addational roads, adding Fortenberry Rd and the Vet Center park.

On August 20th 7 boats and 26 of our members met at the spoil island near marker 81. We had a sandbar raftup.

On August 2 we had our normal meeting at the Veterans Center. Duane Balkema did a presentation on a trip in the Aegina that he took some years before.

June 2022 Captain Hirams Trip

On June 11 a bunch of us were to travel by boat to Captain Hirams resort But->

The weather looked bad so we went by car.

We got together in Tom's room.

More and more of us showed up.

The weather fooled us and was not bad.

Had a good time here anyway.

June 2022 Pizza

On June 7th we had a short meeting and pizza party and the veterans center. Tom set up a display to get people to remember to bring in the tabs from the cans as well as the cans.

In May the KBB group was out again by the VA center. Helping keeping Brevard clean.

April 2022 Meeting

On April 5 we had our business meeting at the VA center. We had speaker Brandon Smith talk about cleaning up the Indian River Lagoon. This is a much more extensive program that I realized. There is activity in the lagoon and on the shore.

We then had a short business meeting and passed out some awards.

Harbor town Flea Market 2022

On April 2-3 some of our members ran out booth at the Harbortown Flea Market show. The squadron thanks all those that were there through the bad weather and mud. I did not get to many phots so this is what I have.

February 2022 Meeting

In February we went to the Veterans Center and had some social time. Matt Culver of Brevard County Natural Resources talked about the cleanup of the rivers. Finally Tom released the existing bridge and we await the Change of Watch.

December 3 2021 Holiday Party

On December 3, 2021 the squadron met at the Veterans center for our annual Holiday Party. The sunset was fabulous over the pond. Click on the photo to the right to see the party photos.

November 2021 Meeting

In November we went to Kiwnais Park and had a picnic in the Pavilion. Waived at the dolphin, played a little corn hole and had some food. Good time, the weather sparred us.

October 2021 Meeting

We had to skip September do to that nasty little bug. But in October we had the "Shark Man" Richard O'Toole. He talked of his exploites in the Red sea with the white tip shark.

August 2021 Meeting

We had some snacks and our speakers were Rick and Suza Goitz. This couple took years and sailed around the world.

Our commander though they looked a little dry so he gave them some wine as a reward for their seeking.

June Meeting 2021

We turned our June meeting into a pizza party. We socialized a then had some announcements.

After the announcements the pizza was gone before I got any photos of it. Only leftovers.

April Meeting 2021

On April 6th we held out first regular meeting in almost a year. Our 2020 FIT Scholarship winner put on a presentation on the projects she has been working on. DCdr Ron Radford came down and presented the District awards that the squadron got at the past virtual District meeting. We did a little business and said hello to members we had not seen for a while. We hope next month to have a normal meeting, we will see.

On February 6, 2020 the squadron held its 54th change of watch at Kiwanis Park. We kept our distance and had some fun.

We had a meeting in a not-too-close setting at Kelly Park. The rain scared away the rocket, the boats and most of the members.
